Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department is currently seeking qualified candidates as Lake Attendants. As a Lake Attendant, the following specific duties include: providing excellent customer service, handling money and running the register, renting equipment (kayaks, canoes, SUPs, rowboats, PFDs) and assisting in launching rental boats, enforcing rules and regulations, routine maintenance and cleaning of boats, facilities, and grounds, issuing appropriate licenses, assisting with special events and daily record keeping. Depending on experience employees may facilitate programs (night paddles, fishing programs, environmental education programs). Successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends, evenings, and holidays and be able to perform the physical duties of the job (lifting and standing for long periods of time).This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
