Sloomoo launched in October of 2019 with an immersive 12,000 square-foot experience in Soho, NYC, where hand-crafted, artisanal slime (dozens of textures and the most delicious scents), soothing ASMR, and wondrous delights (you can slingshot slime, walk on slime, design your own slime, and more) converge with glossy, contemporary design.Sloomoo's universe has expanded - there are now a total of 5 Institutes (NYC, LA, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta) and two MiniMoos (Boston, Philadelphia) with more to come.MiniMoos are smaller than the Institutes but packed with as much color, surprise, and play.The brand has been featured in People Magazine, Vogue, the Today Show, the Kelly Clarkson Show, the Tamron Hall Show, Forbes, INC, and more.The mission: Deliver joy, whether you're a kid or kid-at-heart.Position SummaryThe role of Porter is critical to the success of Sloomoo. The porters will work under the direction of the Regional Facilities Manager, GM, and in collaboration with the Managers on Duty and assist with the physical upkeep and maintenance of the facility. The ideal candidate is a highly capable and dedicated team member who is able to fulfill basic building and attraction maintenance work as well as maintain the cleanliness of upkeep of the facility. We obsess over the details that make greatness.Key Responsibilities: Heavy Cleaning & SanitationPerforms continuous deep cleaning throughout the day in a high-traffic, sensory-play environment.Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks restrooms multiple times per shift.Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and polishes floors.Wipes down and sanitizes DIY areas, retail surfaces, and high-touch points.Breaks down and removes large volumes of cardboard and trash.Pallets, Freight & Back-of-House SupportLoads and unloads pallets of merchandise and supplies.Moves boxes and equipment up to 55lbs or more using dollies or carts.Organizes back-of-house storage areas, including shelving, inventory rotation, and retail replenishment.Assists with freight processing for new product shipments.Operational SupportResponds quickly to spills, guest messes, trash overflow, and cleaning emergencies.Maintains a clean, organized, safe environment in all guest-facing and BOH spaces.Locks and secures the facility at closing (if assigned).Fills out daily checklists accurately and consistently.Slimetender & Guest Experience SupportAssists Slimetenders at stations during peak hours (line flow, resetting tables, restocking supplies, cleaning DIY tables etc).Supports retail stocking and presentation to maintain brand standards.Helps ensure play zones stay clean, reset, and guest-ready.General ExpectationsFollows all company policies, safety protocols, and instructions from management.Works well independently with strong time-management skills.Comfortable working outdoors in cold or hot weather while handling trash, pallets, or deliveries.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.1-2 years experience in a porter, janitorial, warehouse, facilities, or restaurant BOH role preferred.Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move 50-75 lbs repeatedly.Comfortable with fast-paced, physically demanding work.Able to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods.Works well on a small team with cross-functional responsibilities.Minimum age: 18 years.Inclusivity Commitment:Sloomoo Inc. is a company that respects and welcomes the uniqueness of each employee and offers everyone the means to find their place and thrive.
