Character of Position As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and assembling the structural components that make up a tool. Responsibilities * Analyze and interpret the blueprints to determine the specifications, tolerances, and locate/read the stock list on a drawing * Prep, lay out, fit, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications * Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies * Weld components in flat, vertical, or horizontal positions * Fabricate and assemble metal components using various welding techniques * Perform precision fitting and adjustments to ensure proper assembly * Maintain the proper tooling to complete tasks * Construct structural components from raw materials * Ability to saw, miter, and fit fabrications * Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed * Certified in TIG and MIG welding * Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance * Other duties as assigned Skills * Ability to use hand and power tools * Use of straightedge, combination square, and calipers. * Use of shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components * Ability to concentrate for extended periods * Ability to read a tape measure * Strong analytical skills * Problem solving skills * Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills Experience * Proven experience working as a fabricator * Minimum of 2 years' experience Education * High School Diploma or equivalent Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required- No sponsorship offered.
