Position Type: Middle School Teaching/English Learner (formerly ESL)Date Posted: 3/18/2026Location: Lewis-Palmer Middle SchoolDate Available: 26-27 School YearLewis-Palmer Middle School is looking for a .75 FTE Multi Language Teacher beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. Must have, or be eligible to receive a current Colorado teaching license with Linguistically Diverse (ESL) endorsement. The ML teacher will design and teach the language development instructional program for MLs in accordance with English Language Development standards. In addition to teaching all ML classes, this teacher will support regular classroom teachers, serve on collaborative teams, recommend appropriate testing accommodations for MLs, act as a liaison for ML families, act as advocate for ML students at school site, monitor the progress of MLs who are being considered for exit status, create/update LAPs, administer CELA placement and proficiency tests, and perform other related duties. The ML teacher must be familiar with federal and state laws concerning ML identification, placement, and programming. They must be familiar with research-based instruction for MLs. This is a .75 FTE position with full benefits. The start date for new teachers is July 31, 2026.Exact placement on the pay schedule can only be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 17 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 18, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550-$73,848 annually. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.
