Shipping Coordinator

Shipping Coordinators are responsible for ensuring that all shipping documents and functions are completed accurately and on time. Shipping Coordinators also communicates with customers to coordinate outbound shipments, maintains accurate record of all received products, and assists in resolving inventory discrepancies.Essential Functions:Effectively communicate with Quality Dept, to ensure that all shipping parts are properly identified and shop orders are matched to corresponding partsMaintain traceability for all parts, including those with special identification Communicate with Quality Dept that all finished parts are ready for final inspection Prepare, review and maintain shipping documents, packing slips/packets, and associated paperworkSchedule shipment pickups through customer-based portals and other carriersAssist with packing/wrapping and label products for outbound shipmentsVerify inventory accuracy through routine inventory cycle count activitiesWork closely with production, and planning teams to prioritize outbound shipmentsReview/Validation of certificationsMaintain digital records of all certifications and shipping documentationEnter data into shipping tracking platforms and inventory softwareMay operate motor vehicle to obtain or deliver parts and supplies neededPerforms other tasks and/or assignments as requiredRegular attendance on-site at the workplace is requiredQualifications and Experience:High School diploma or GED equivalentTwo years of relevant logistics/shipping experienceOther Required Skills and Abilities:Professional written and verbal communication skills (English)Consistently legible handwriting (English)Ability to read and accurately interpret bills of lading, and similar inventory documentsStrong attention to detail and demonstration of accurate counting, measurement, and associated recordkeepingProficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Valid Driver's license and acceptable safe driving record to meet insurance requirementsERP experience is preferredPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentTo perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, stand for long periods to perform job dutiesRegularly lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 60 poundsFrequently bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneelAccurately distinguish colors, letters, and numbersVisual acuity to interpret readings on gauges and other measuring devicesUse hands and fingers to manually inspect and assess, lift, rotate, and wrap or otherwise package partsWorking ConditionsWork is performed in a manufacturing warehouse environment where working conditions may vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:Moderate Noise to Excessive noise, hearing protection required (occasionally)Dust, smoke, fumes/vapors, temperatures subject to normal shop-floor environmental variation (occasionally)Sharp instruments including box cutters, scissors, and other tools used in packaging/shippingThe use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and use of safety footwear may be requiredWe appreciate your interest in Accurus Aerospace; however, only those applicants selected for interviews will be contacted.Accurus offers a comprehensive employee benefit package upon completion of 30 days of employment.
