Structural Welder / Fitter – Shipyard Philadelphia, PA $28–$30/hr + $150/day Per Diem Direct Hire | Full Benefits | Long-Term Work We’re hiring Structural Welders / Fitters for shipyard fabrication and ship repair work in Philadelphia. This is steady, direct-hire work with full benefits and daily per diem for experienced welders who want long-term stability in a marine environment. What You’ll Do Perform structural welding and fitting on heavy steel components Read and work from blueprints and layouts (marine experience a plus) Assemble plate, stiffeners, frames, and large structural panels Use grinders, torches, and standard fabrication tools Work in fabrication shops, yard production, and dry dock areas Follow hot-work safety procedures and keep work areas clean What We’re Looking For Experience with structural steel welding and fitting Ability to read blueprints (marine preferred, not required to apply) Shipyard, marine, or heavy industrial fabrication experience strongly preferred Willingness to complete a weld test and blueprint test after interview High school diploma or GED Pay & Benefits $28–$30/hour $150/day per diem Quarterly bonus Full benefits package Long-term, stable shipyard work Why Apply This is a chance to secure strong hourly pay, daily per diem, and long-term shipyard work without bouncing from short contracts.
