The Chassis Paint Shop Remove & Install Technician at Frazer reports to the Production Paint Manager, and is responsible for disassembling vehicles and chassis components in preparation for paint, supporting surface prep activities, and reassembling vehicles after painting is complete while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.What Does a Week in the Life of the Chassis Paint Shop Remove & Install Technician Look Like?Safely remove exterior and interior components (trim, doors, panels, hardware, lighting, accessories) from chassis or vehicles prior to paintTag, label, and store removed components to ensure accurate reinstallationProtect sensitive components, wiring, and surfaces during teardownSupport surface preparation activities as needed (masking, sanding, cleaning)Reinstall removed components according to specifications and work instructionsEnsure proper alignment, fit, torque, and function of all reinstalled partsIdentify and report paint defects, damage, or fitment issues prior to final assemblyVerify all fasteners, seals, and hardware are properly installedFollow standard work instructions, paint prep checklists, and reassembly proceduresPerform self-inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standardsDocument completed work and report defects or concerns through the appropriate systemSupport continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework and paint-related defectsAdhere to all safety policies, PPE requirements, and environmental regulationsMaintain a clean, organized work area before and after tasksProperly handle tools, chemicals, and materials used in paint prep and reassemblyRequired Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to understand verbal and written instructionPreferred Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent1-2 years of experience in the automotive paint industry or a combination of education and experienceWhat's it like to be a part of the Frazer Family?Frazer is a fast-paced company that is creating some of the most innovative vehicles in the world. Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $22.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and experience.Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, onsite role working Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
