Description:Quality Assurance Technician Bill Rate Range: #####-##### Location; Apopka, FL shift- 8 am-4:30 pm plus some overtime The Coca-Cola Company is currently seeking Technician to join our Apopka, FL Pilot Plant team in a Quality Assurance role. We're seeking a team-oriented individual who has a keen eye for the details and who would like to support the organization as we expand upward in new and exciting ways. What You'll Do for Us • Accountable for identifying, developing, and cataloging standard operating procedures based on gap assessments and new processes. Accountability includes, but is not limited to, SOPs related to: • Cleaning and Sanitation • Nonconforming product • Allergen control • Product release • Occupational Safety • Environmental • Perform the quality inspection functions for finished products to assure product quality and package integrity is within specifications. • Perform all documentation associated with quality checks and data entry. • Set-up and calibrate test equipment and prepare testing reagents. • Perform all required microbiological testing. • Ensure that all tasks are performed toward achieving the safety, quality & service initiatives. • Manage skill matrices and be accountable for training and coaching the organization toward compliance, including thorough job-specific inductions for new associates • Lead and perform internal audits to detect gaps on operations, procedures, etc. • Monitor inventory of supplies and order materials/supplies as required. • Lead the Food Safety Team and ensure all SOP, checklists and meetings are documented and reviewed by the Food Safety Team Members. • Place product and raw materials on hold and complete hold notifications as required. • Inspect incoming materials and place any non-conformance or damaged material on hold. • Operate and perform quality tests on the treated water system. • Complies with all Food Safety/Security policies and procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Qualification & Requirements • Associate or Bachelor degree in Science or related field is preferred. • 1- 3 years' experience in quality testing / aseptic manufacturing are strongly preferred • Must be able to maintain a strong level of confidentiality - all projects are confidential • Solid math skills are required along with basic reading and writing skills • Ability to move at least 65 lbs. a distance of 5 feet and stand and perform repetitive motions for extended periods (2 hours) are required • Must be able to safely operate a forklift • Basic knowledge of the lab's equipment such as: Refractometer, pH meter, Auto titrator, Density Meter, Turbidity Meter are required • Knowledge of OSHA Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and an understanding of the control of Hazardous Energy are needed • Must possess knowledge of sanitation and food handling standards or GMP preferred • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under stressful situations What We Can Do For You • Experience: With a global organization and the opportunity to learn and grow within our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. • Learning & Development: The ability to learn manufacturing process from a leader in the industry.
