If you're ready to grow and make an impact, we'd love to be on your team.The Purchasing Expeditor plays a vital role in ensuring that raw materials, components, and supplies required for valve production are delivered on time, in the correct quantities, and in compliance with specifications. Working closely with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams, the Expeditor helps maintain smooth operations by monitoring material flow, preventing production delays, and coordinating with suppliers.How you'll make an impact:Order ManagementProcess corporate purchase orders acknowledgements in MRP system for correct part number, quantity, pricing, delivery and ship to information and freight methodMonitor purchase orders and delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods and servicesTrack and update the status of shipments, proactively resolving issues that may cause delaysMaintain accurate records of order progress, shipment details, and supplier performanceSupplier CoordinationCommunicate with vendors and suppliers regarding order confirmations, delivery schedules, and shipment statusNegotiate expedited delivery when necessary to meet urgent project timelinesDevelop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to support long-term partnershipsInternal CollaborationWork closely with procurement, project managers, logistics, and operations teams to align material delivery with demand requirementsProvide regular status reports and updates on critical orders to stakeholdersSupport cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain responsivenessProblem SolvingIdentify potential supply chain bottlenecks and implement corrective actionsEscalate issues to management when delivery timelines are at riskInvestigate and resolve discrepancies related to shipping documents, invoices, or quality concernsContinuous ImprovementRecommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead timesAssist in the development of vendor performance metrics and evaluationContribute to company-wide initiatives for operational excellenceSkills you'll need:2-5 years of experience in expediting, procurement, or supply chain managementStrong knowledge of purchasing and logistics processesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsProficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlinesDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving skillsAbility to read purchase orders, bills of materials, and basic engineering specificationsHere's what will set you apart:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related fieldKnowledge of valve components, machining processes and shop operationsThe Rewards:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)401(K) MatchCompetitive PayMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance PackageEmployer Paid Life InsurancePaid Time Off and Holiday PayCareer Development OpportunitiesAbout AWCAs employee co-owners, we're driven to do more than complete tasks; we build fulfilling careers by challenging assumptions and continually raising the bar.
