Job CategoryAccounting / FinanceLocationTorrance, CASalary Range$45,000.00 - $60,000.00Job Duties:Assist Account Representative for day-to-day service for clients including claims, billing eligibility, and service issuesAssist renewal process, enrollments, terminations, and COBRAProviding administrative support to Employee Benefit Manager and Account RepresentativesPreparing, formatting, and editing a range of documentsCreating and interpreting a variety of reportsOrganizing market researchAnalyzing questionnaires and other forms of feedbackHaving clear understanding of carrier's product offerings and processes to maintain efficient workflowFollows broker policies and procedures including reviewing client policies, maintaining client filesEnsures accuracy of the Broker's administration system, AMS360 in timely mannerAssist implementation activities for new and existing clientsAssists in completion and processing of applicationsAssist Account Representative schedules, prepares for and open enrollment meetingsCollects forms/data/schedules for regulatory complianceGeneral office dutiesMaintaining a marketing databaseComfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environmentTasks that are assigned by the ManagerRequirements/Preferences:Obtaining CA Life and Health License within 3 months from the starting date is requiredCollege Degree or equivalent experience1-3 years' experience in office work and understanding of basic business.Experience in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookExperience using computers for a variety of tasksCompetency in Microsoft applications including Work, Excel, Outlook and aptitude to learn new system (Zywave, Employee Navigator, Applied Epic.)Effective written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere) a plusProficiency in speaking, reading and writing in business level Japanese and EnglishA high level of attention to detailAbility to work effectively within a team and independentlyTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyMust be a team player willing to assist with projects and matters that arise.Must be responsible and productive both independently and with others.Must be creative, flexible, curious, and willing to try new things.Should be emotionally intelligent, forgiving, resilient, and solution oriented.Technical ProficiencyAdvanced skills in Excel and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe PDF).Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities, with proven ability to provide data-driven insights.Personal AttributesHighly responsible, productive, and effective both independently and in team settings.Creative, flexible, and curious, with a willingness to try new approaches and solutions.Emotionally intelligent, resilient, solution-oriented, and able to maintain professionalism under pressure.Travel Requirements:Travel Required: May travel within the U.S. for customer service such as enrollment meetings and strategy meetings
