This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who are dependable, safety-focused, and interested in building a long-term career in aviation maintenance.This position is performed in a safety-sensitive, FAA-regulated environment and provides hands-on experience working alongside experienced aviation maintenance professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with aircraft fuel tank maintenance, inspection, and repairSupport fuel tank entry, cleaning, sealing, and component removal or installationUse basic hand tools and maintenance equipment to perform assigned tasksFollow technical data, work instructions, company manuals, and safety proceduresCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team membersMaintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environmentPerform additional duties as assigned by managementMinimum QualificationsMechanical aptitude with experience using basic hand toolsAbility to work in confined spaces (required)Ability to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to follow technical data and detailed work instructionsStrong communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamValid driver's licenseMust successfully pass pre-employment screening, including:FAA-mandated drug testBackground checkMust provide basic personal hand toolsPreferred Qualifications (Not Required)Previous aviation, mechanical, industrial, or maintenance experienceFamiliarity with safety-sensitive or regulated work environmentsInterest in long-term career growth within aviation maintenanceWork Environment & Physical RequirementsThis position requires work inside aircraft fuel tanks, which are classified as confined spaces. Technicians must be able to safely enter, work within, and exit fuel tanks through access openings typically ranging from approximately 12-24 inches, and perform maintenance tasks in areas with limited clearance. Tasks may require reaching, bending, crawling, and working in restricted spaces for extended periods of time.All work is performed in accordance with OSHA confined-space standards and company safety procedures.Additional responsibilities and physical requirements include, but are not limited to:Perform planned and unplanned aircraft maintenance in compliance with company manuals, approved technical data, and applicable federal regulationsProperly use and maintain tools and equipmentComplete required paperwork and maintenance records accurately and in accordance with company and regulatory requirementsAbility to lift up to 80 poundsAbility to squat, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and stand for extended periodsAbility to work from maintenance stands, lifts, and lift trucksAbility to work in hangar, ramp, and aircraft environments, including exposure to industrial conditions and varying weatherAbility to read wire diagrams and understand technical instructions of varying complexityPerform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change based on operational needs, emergencies, workload, or technical developmentsCompensation & BenefitsHourly Pay: $19-$22Training and advancement opportunities within Davcor Aviation ServicesWhy Join Davcor Aviation Services?Entry-level opportunity in a specialized, high-demand aviation fieldHands-on training in aircraft fuel systems and maintenance operationsStrong safety culture and team-oriented work environmentClear pathways for advancement into higher-level aviation maintenance rolesEqual Opportunity EmployerDavcor Aviation Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
