Café ManagerThe Campus - Chester CountyCafé Manager - $22-$25/hr | Part-Time Leadership RoleThe Campus Chester County is seeking a Café Manager to oversee daily operations of our rink café, including food preparation, inventory management, staff supervision, and customer service.Schedule:25-30 hours per week2-3 weekday evenings + weekends requiredPerks:Free skating for employee & immediate familyDiscounts on Campus programs and café itemsOpportunity to help build and grow the café menuPosition SummaryThe Café Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the rink café, ensuring high-quality food service, excellent customer experiences, and compliance with all health and safety standards. This role includes food preparation, staff supervision, inventory management, ordering supplies, and supporting café operations for events, parties, and Summer Camp programs.The Café Manager plays a key leadership role in keeping the café running efficiently, safely, and profitably while creating a welcoming environment for guests and staff.SupervisionReports To:Director of Events and General ManagerSupervises:Part-time Café CashiersKey ResponsibilitiesFood Production & Guest ServicePrepare menu items using fryer, flat-top grill, outdoor grill, and ovenAssist customers at the register and provide excellent serviceUpsell menu items and maintain a welcoming café environmentHandle cash and reconcile register balances at the end of shiftsAssist with food preparation, serving, and restocking as neededCleaning, Safety & Health Department ComplianceMaintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all café and food prep areasEnsure all procedures meet Health Department regulationsMaintain food safety documentation and inspection recordsInventory & OrderingOrder and maintain inventory of food, beverages, and café suppliesManage supplies for café operations, party catering, and Summer Camp programsConduct regular inventory counts and maintain tracking systemsReceive and properly store deliveries according to food safety standardsPlan inventory needs for busy seasons, events, and programsAdministrative & Operational DutiesMaintain inventory logs, ordering records, and operational spreadsheetsProcess invoices and monitor café expenses within budgetAssist with menu planning and cost controlDevelop procedures that improve café efficiency and operationsSchedule & AvailabilityPart-time position (25-30 hours per week)Must be available 2-3 weekday eveningsRequired weekend availability (Saturday & Sunday)Must support food service during Summer Camp operationsQualificationsFood service or café/kitchen experience preferredStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to supervise and motivate staffStrong organizational and inventory management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment
