Litigation Paralegal - Insurance Defense (Medical Malpractice Preferred) - Jacksonville, FLWe are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years of Insurance Defense experience, preferably including Medical Malpractice claims.Our paralegals perform high-quality, billable work that directly supports our attorneys and clients. We expect a high level of expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a busy litigation caseload with professionalism and precision.Primary ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate effectiveness in obtaining, reviewing, and managing client documents, including electronic data, and identifying potentially relevant materials for each case.Conduct litigation-related research, including criminal and civil background checks, and obtain properly authenticated records as necessary.Identify, prepare, and produce documents for discovery, including Bates labeling and redaction of privileged or confidential information.Assist in all aspects of trial preparation, including:Managing exhibits and evidentiary materialsPreparing witness lists and filesDrafting and coordinating subpoenasCoordinating and attending witness preparation meetingsAssisting at trialConduct thorough online research utilizing firm electronic resources efficiently and effectively.Manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and proactively seeking assistance when needed.Summarize medical records, bills, and supporting documentation; prepare medical chronologies and billing summaries.Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel in a collaborative team environment.Work closely with retained expert witnesses, including reviewing qualifications, assisting with selection and retention, and serving as liaison between the firm and experts.Review vendor invoices for accuracy and submit to Accounting for timely processing.Skills & AbilitiesAttendance & Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance; arrive on time to meetings and appointments; ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.Communication: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.Customer Service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests; meet commitments reliably.Dependability: Follow instructions; complete assignments on time; commit to the hours necessary to meet deadlines; work independently when required.Professionalism: Interact with others in a tactful and respectful manner; maintain composure in high-pressure situations.Organization & Time Management: Effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced litigation environment.Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected VeteransThe Know Your Rights poster is available here:pay transparency policy is available here:temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
