Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator

Our Parks & Recreation Department is looking for an energetic Program Coordinator to lead and deliver year-round recreation programs that make a real impact.From youth sports and after-school programs to adult leagues, camps, clinics, and special events, you'll be at the heart of planning, promoting, and running programs that bring our community together.What You'll DoAs a key member of our recreation team, you will:Coordinate and implement a wide range of recreation programs and special eventsManage logistics like facilities, equipment, scheduling, and permitsRecruit, train, schedule, and support seasonal staff and contract instructorsBuild strong relationships with participants, families, vendors, and community partnersAssist with program promotion and outreach effortsSupport budgeting by tracking expenses, revenue, and program dataMonitor supplies and equipment and coordinate purchasingProvide on-site supervision-including evenings and weekendsJump in where needed to help the department succeedYour work will ensure our programs run smoothly, safely, and with the high quality our community expects.What You BringBachelor's degree in Recreation, Education, or a related field OR equivalent experienceExperience working with youth, adults, or community-based programmingKnowledge of recreation planning, safety practices, and program deliveryStrong organization, communication, and customer service skillsAbility to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, active environmentComfort supervising part-time and seasonal staffWillingness to work evenings, weekends, and special eventsProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with recreation software (ActiveNet, CivicPlus, MyRec) a plusWho You'll Work WithYou'll work under the leadership of the Director, Assistant Director, and Program Superintendent, and collaborate with a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional recreation experiences to the community.Why Join Us?If you love variety, enjoy working with people, and take pride in creating programs that enrich community life, this role is for you.
