Brief Description Under broad guidance, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple, large or complex capital improvement projects assigned to the Department through planning, design, construction, start-up, and warranty phases. [Right click and select Open in New Window] Job Requirements Education Required • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university Desired • Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited university ExperienceRequired • Experience using quality principles and project management tools while managing multiple concurrent projects • Minimum of ten years of experience in Design, Construction, and/or Project Management at a technical/professional level, of which at least two years must be in Project Management. • Experience in Design, Construction, and Project Management of utility infrastructure projects in the stormwater, water, or wastewater industry Desired • Experience with public procurement of Professional Services firms, construction contractors, and collaborative delivery teams • Working knowledge of pumping systems and hydraulics • Working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems as applicable to treatment processes and pumping systems Licenses and Certifications Requirements • Valid Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) License (or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months of hire) • Valid driver's license from state of residence Additional Details HRSD is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
