This role is ideal for someone with industrial sewing experience who takes pride in quality workmanship and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Position OverviewThe Sewing Production Operator will be responsible for cutting textiles, operating industrial sewing equipment, and supporting overall production processes to ensure quality standards and delivery deadlines are met.Key ResponsibilitiesCut textiles and operate sewing production equipment as directed by managementUnderstand basic machine maintenance and identify when maintenance support is neededCross-train on additional equipment including back-coating, stamping, and tagging machinesPerform thorough quality checks to ensure products meet company standardsPrepare and organize materials for production runsMonitor production processes to ensure smooth operations and identify issues proactivelyFollow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work areaMeet agreed production deadlines and delivery schedulesUtilize job cards and production plans accuratelyLearn and use required production software systemsWork effectively with multiple types of materialsQualificationsPrior experience in a production or manufacturing environmentIndustrial sewing experience and machine knowledge requiredStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workAbility to troubleshoot and think criticallyCapable of handling multiple tasks while meeting deadlinesStrong understanding of production schedules and workflowReliable attendance and strong work ethicMust have reliable transportation, not including bus lineStaffing Inc. - an entirely employee-owned company - is the largest independent employer in West Michigan.
