Apply today and grow with Primoris Energy Services.JOB DESCRIPTIONAssist skilled construction workers in performing their assigned duties by completing a variety of duties, including general laborer duties.FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTSCleaning and preparing construction sitesLoading and unloading materials and equipmentBuilding and taking down scaffolding and temporary structuresDigging trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holesOperating and tending machinery and heavy equipmentFollowing instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plansAssisting skilled tradespeople in their dutiesPerform other related duties as necessaryGENERAL REQUIREMENTSPractice safety rulesFollow verbal and written instructionsSafe use of hand & power toolsReport to and assist immediate supervisorPerform quality work as determined by project specificationsAccountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shiftMust work well as part of a teamQUALIFICATION STANDARDSOne (1) to four (4) years of experience as a pipefitter helper, electrician helper, ironworker helper or laborer in an industrial settingPre-employment craft test, drug screen, physical, background check, and completion of safety training is a condition of employmentApplicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplaceJob site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust comply with company's drug and alcohol abuse policyMust be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the companyAble to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etcStoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.)Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materialsIt is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs.
