It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.Position Summary:Maintain, troubleshoot and repair facilities, building systems and related equipment to maintain safe and fully functional equipment and work place for all locations.Essential Functions:It is essential for all employees to adhere to Company policies.Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with AS9100 on equipment to ensure minimal down time of facilities/manufacturing equipment so production targets are achieved Set up and operate machine tool equipment as well as basic operation of most production equipment such as tablesaws, routers, drill presses, mills, band saws, cut off saws, welding equipment as may be necessary to fabricate, repair and/or duplicate parts required to maintain and repair facilities equipmentManage the janitorial contracts on behalf of the companyManage the landscaping contract on behalf of the company Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment as directed Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner to support operationsHelp develop and maintain safety programs that adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and the elimination of industrial accidents.Ensure regulatory compliance, communication and reporting (ie. OSHA). Support unit managers to ensure implementation of safety activities throughout organization.Conduct hazard evaluation and control. Perform analysis of equipment, processes, facilities, and communication in support of risk reduction.Organize and conduct audits of facilities, work areas, and equipment to ensure compliance with organization, state, and federal safety regulations. Identify and implement corrective action plans and perform follow-up inspections. Help develop and maintain environmental health programs consistent with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines and regulations, including environmental permit compliance such as DEQ: Waste Water, Storm Water, Hazardous Waste Generator/ Hazardous Materials, Fire MarshallOrganize and implement company forklift training and certification programMaintain control of all facility keysAdditional Functions:Active member of safety and environmental committee.Maintains all buildings and grounds.Education and Experience:Associates Degree or equivalent technical certification and three year's work experience driving safety initiatives may be substituted. Five or more years facilities maintenance experience required.Certifications required to operate forklifts, scissors lift, overhead cranes and hoists to assist in material and personnel movement. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics with ability to take voltage, amperage, OHM, pressure and/or flow reading in accordance with ladder and schematic diagrams and determine values. Electrical/electronic knowledge/skill include but not limited to controls, magnetic starters, rotary switches, relays, solenoids, brakes, and related facilities equipment applying electrical wiring principles. Knowledge of right angle drives, gear reducers, variable speed, rack and pinion, belt and chain, and hydraulic and pneumatic. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently stands and walks throughout all shop areas; uses balance; uses hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands and arms. The employee occasionally sits; climbs; twists, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; and talks and hears. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 15 lbs., and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds. The employee frequently pushes/pulls an average of 50 lbs, and occasionally pushes/pulls up to 125 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee must operate powered vehicles such as forklift and various lifts/hoists.Working Conditions/Physical Hazards:While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a production environment with regular exposure to noise, liquid grinding coolant mist and vapor, dust and lubricants managed through an exhaust system. Work area is well lit and air conditioned. All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.The characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
