PrideStaff is seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to lead our onsite safety initiatives in Lansing Michigan. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and investigating incidents to ensure 100% compliance with safety regulations.The ideal candidate will promote a proactive safety culture, manage detailed records, and serve as the primary liaison between management and field employees. If you have a deep knowledge of OSHA standards and a passion for workplace protection, we want to hear from you.Shift 7 am- 4pm. Must be open to work extanded and weekends.Pay Rate $39.85Key ResponsibilitiesPolicy Development: Create, implement, and update safety policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards. Stay current on evolving best practices.Training: Facilitate safety training for all employees and new hires, focusing on company policy, emergency procedures, and proper equipment use.Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.Record Keeping: Maintain organized, audit-ready records of safety training, incident reports, and regulatory documentation.Emergency Response: Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans and procedures.Liaison & Communication: Serve as the point of contact for employees, management, and external parties (OSHA, insurance reps, union officials, and contractors).PPE Oversight: Manage the acquisition, inspection, and proper use of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).Experience: Proven experience in a safety role within a manufacturing or construction environment.Certifications: OSHA 10-hour certification required; OSHA 30-hour preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with safety management software is a strong plus.Physical Requirements: Ability to work for extended periods on various surfaces and navigate potentially hazardous industrial environments.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $39.85 - $39.85
