Job Type Full-time, Part-timeDescriptionReports to: Nutrition Administrative ManagerFLSA: Full-time non-exempt positionSummary:The Café Coordinator is responsible for the daily front of the house operations of Café 55 at SourcePoint to ensure an engaging guest experience. This position coordinates and trains café volunteers and oversees the volunteer schedules for both the café and kitchen. The Café Coordinator also supports the Nutrition Administrative Manager in onboarding new café hosts, organizing programming, and creating quarterly special events to enhance guest engagement. The Café Coordinator will also complete routine administrative tasks to support operations at Café 55 and offsite cafés. The typical schedule is 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with occasional flexibility needed for early or late meetings.Essential Job Functions and Expectations: Café Oversight Create a vibrant and welcoming café for guests and volunteers, offering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environmentAssist guests with daily registration utilizing Café 55's kiosk systemWelcome new guests by assisting them in completing and understanding required registration forms, donations, and meal selection optionsEnsure adherence to safety and hygiene standards for a high-risk populationMaintain beverage and condiment stations for lunch service Prepare site for service, as well as clean up following service which includes sanitizing all surfaces, emptying trash, cleaning and storing equipment, sweeping, and mopping as neededRecordkeeping and Reporting Complete accurate records, daily reports, and client data entry which meet funding requirementsReceive payments and donations, as well as prepare daily deposits Maintain a thorough knowledge of customer eligibility for all funding sources Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, completing inventory reports as requiredCommunication and Collaboration Train, schedule, oversee, and support volunteers assisting with meal service and programsCoordinate programs and activities, including quarterly special events, while collaborating with other departmentsFacilitate communication between the front of the house and the back of the houseAssist with research and implementation of new technology, as neededParticipate in department goals and initiatives collaborativelyResolve guest issues and complaints promptly and effectivelyAdhere to all applicable Nutrition Program policies and proceduresAttend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and in-service education programs, as neededRequirementsEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious front of the house operations experience preferredPrevious experience with volunteers preferredPrevious experience in planning programs, activities, or engagement opportunities preferredProficiency in a wide range of software programs, including Microsoft Office 365 suite and the ability to learn software specific to the Nutrition ProgramRequired Skills and Abilities:Creative with strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing environmentsExceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on building strong relationshipsDemonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on team development and collaboration Passion for hospitality and commitment to creating memorable guest experiencesStrong organizational skills with a focus on efficiency and detailWilling to submit to and pass criminal background checks per agency policyEssential Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:Ability to lift 30 lbs. on a regular basis without assistance and navigate un-level terrain and stairsAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to maintain a fast pace throughout the entire shift In any organization, particularly a small organization, it is necessary to assume new responsibilities appropriate to ensure a smooth continuity of operations with the organization. It is anticipated that other organizational needs will emerge from time to time, which will be assigned to the Lead Café Host. The Host is expected to be familiar with the work of others to fill in as needed on a temporary basis.
