Propane Utility WorkerDover, DEYour role in our success will be: The Propane Utility Worker is an entry-level position responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant unloading of propane and related products from railcars into Sharp Energy's storage and distribution systems. This role also assists with construction activities, yard operations, and routine maintenance tasks.As a key contributor to Sharp Energy's commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence, the Propane Utility Worker performs hands-on work in outdoor environments, in all weather conditions, and around flammable materials. The position requires the use of specialized tools and equipment while consistently adhering to safety and regulatory standards.What you'll be working on:Safely unload propane and other flammable products from railcars using approved procedures, tools, and equipment.Inspect railcars, valves, hoses, and connections before and after unloading to identify leaks, defects, or potential safety hazards.Operate railcar access systems, pumps, valves, forklifts, pallet jacks, and various hand tools in support of daily operations.Perform routine safety checks and minor maintenance on vehicles and unloading equipment to ensure reliability and compliance.Maintain accurate and timely logs of unloading activities, equipment inspections, and required documentation.Follow all CUC safety policies, propane handling procedures, and regulatory requirements, including proper use of required PPE.Immediately report any irregularities, unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or operational concerns.Carry out assigned yard maintenance and operational support tasks safely and efficiently.Assist with construction-related activities as assigned.Perform other related duties as directed by management.Who you are:Education: High school diploma or GED.Work Experience: Experience with hand and power tools.Driver's License: Valid Driver License.Licensure / Certification: Must obtain Railcar Unloader Certification within 45 days of employmentAbility to safely lift and carry 50 pounds or more and perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in varied weather.Proficiency using hand tools and power tools required for unloading, maintenance, and yard operations.Basic understanding of propane properties and safety considerations preferred; willingness to learn and apply handling best practices.What makes us great: At the heart of our Company is a dedication to delivering energy that drives progress.
