Collections Representative

Collections & Billing Specialist A well-established and growing organization is seeking a Collections & Billing Specialist to support their Accounts Receivable team. This role is fully onsite in Itasca and offers a collaborative, upbeat work environment with great team culture. About the Role You will manage soft collections outreach to past-due customers and assist with billing and cash application tasks. This position is perfect for someone personable, organized, and eager to learn, with strong communication skills and a customer-friendly approach. Key Responsibilities Collections (Primary Focus) Reach out to past-due customers-primarily via email, with occasional phone calls Work from AR aging reports and follow up 1-2 times per week Manage a mix of invoices ranging from $200 to $400,000 Coordinate assigned customer groups (A-K or L-Z) depending on team needs Maintain a professional, relationship-driven, soft-collections style Billing & Support (Training Provided) Enter invoice numbers and shipping details into the internal system Save and organize supporting documents received from the warehouse Assist with cash application using a custom internal system Perform general AR support as needed What We're Looking For Must-Haves Personable, outgoing, and comfortable communicating with customers Willingness to learn and ability to pick up new systems Reliability in a Monday-Friday onsite setting Team-oriented attitude and strong attention to detail Nice-to-Haves Previous experience in billing, AR, or cash application Familiarity with collections (especially soft collections) Basic Excel comfort (no advanced functions required) Schedule & Details Location: Onsite in Itasca, IL Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday Why You'll Enjoy This Role Friendly, supportive team with a fun, people-focused culture Regular employee events, celebrations, and themed activities Long-tenured leadership committed to growth and development Opportunity to learn multiple areas of finance EB-1959116908
