Our company's reach is expanded through our affiliate companies - Cloud Capital, Dalian Development, and WindHQ.What The Role EntailsCloudHQ is seeking an experienced Building Technician to support the maintenance of one of our data centers ensuring the highest standard of customer service, and overall client satisfaction while aligning well with our company's core values. This Manassas, VA-based opportunity will be a hands-on role and will report to the Electrical or Mechanical Manager. We desire an enthusiastic professional with a proven track record of blending technical expertise with exceptional customer care. What You Will Get To DoOperate and monitor critical Data Center Systems (UPS, PDU, Diesel Generators, ATS equipment, Building Controls, Chillers, CRAHs, etc.)Assist with minor building repairs including, but not limited to, carpentry and painting, installing door hardware, changing light bulbs, changing filters, cleaning coils and equipment. Ensure all work performed meets required safety codesPerform assigned building systems preventive maintenance. Report identified building problems to the Electrical / Mechanical Manager Assist with day-to-day building operationsInvestigate alarm sequences (BMS/EPMS/Security) Inspect premises on daily basis. Remove all debris, clean walkways and other areas as necessary to maintain interior and exterior appearance of building as requiredAid and assist with special events and on-going projectsRespond to safety and emergency situations and maintain a safe and secure work environmentMaintain all tools, parts, and supplies in an organized manner. Inform the Electrical / Mechanical Manager of any needs for replacement, restocking or repair of itemsManage and maintain good working relationships with on-site contractors and vendorsPerform other job-related duties as assignedRequirementsWhat You Will Bring to The RoleA High school diploma or equivalentA minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in similar field and/or completion of approved vocational training at recognized technical school and/or "hands-on" experience with the maintenance and repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities to include; emergency generators (Generators, Fuel Delivery systems and Parallel Switchgear), electrical distribution (MV/LV switchgear and associated controls), critical and essential PDUs, UPS, switchgear, HVAC, air handling units, computer grade cooling systems, and building monitoring/controls systemsFamiliarity with CMMS (Critical Maintenance Management System)Able to operate Manlifts and/or ForkliftsDemonstrate knowledge in operating, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems and building management/automation equipmentAbility to read building blueprints and understand electrical/mechanical single lines and schematicsKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures related to mechanical & electrical systems needed to run data centersBasic PC skills and the ability to learn company-specific softwareAbility to routinely perform off-hour duties including evenings, weekends, and holidays and to be available and respond accordingly during these periods when so assignedMust possess a valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicleGood verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to follow written and verbal directionStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with tenants, suppliers, and other techniciansAbility to develop troubleshooting and analytical skillsWork under limited supervision, both independently and within a teamMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistanceOur Ideal Candidate Will Also PossessVocational training preferred (Electrical / Mechanical / Controls)CFC certificate and apprentice license preferredWhat We OfferCloudHQ's people and culture are the most enriching aspects that make us a great place to work.
