Operator Non- Exempt Reports To: Production Supervisors/Operations Manager Cleburne, TexasOperations provides warehousing, packaging, transportation, bleach manufacture, and office support functions for the district or Company. The operator performs various functions in the compressed gas filling process.PVS DX, Inc, is a nationwide manufacturer and distributor of compressed gases and other water treatment chemicals. We are a safety conscious employer: the safety, security and welfare of fellow workers, the community and the environment are our #1 priority.CompetenciesPerforms all tasks associated with the filling of compressed gas cylinders and/or ton containers, such as evacuating, cleaning, inspecting, testing, painting, replacing valves, filling, and tagging.Rebuilds cylinder valves.Loads and unloads trucks and trailers, including tankers.Completes filling logs and other plant reports.Connects and disconnects railcars.Manufactures bleach.Analyzes product samples.Performs minor maintenance tasks on equipment or piping.Attends safety and training classes.Assists with general plant housekeeping.Visually inspects cylinders and ton containers and their removable components in accordance with DOT standardsRequired to be a part of the Emergency Response TeamOther duties as assigned. May be required to perform any or all of the previous job tasks, depending upon the organization and size of the plant.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:All employees of PVS are expected to work safely, follow all procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times on the job. PPE has been determined by the Safety Data Sheets, manufacturer recommendations, workplace hazard analysis and from personal exposure monitoring data. This PPE is provided by PVS and includes:Steel-toe work shoesSafety glassesCompany issued uniformHigh visibility clothing as neededBump capEscape respiratorAdditional PPE may be required based on the task or operation being performed.
