Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 HourlyLocation : Aquatic and Recreation Center - Plainfield, INJob Type: SEASONALJob Number: 00300Department: Parks and RecreationDivision: RecreationOpening Date: 03/19/2026Closing Date: 4/2/2026 11:59 PM Eastern GENERAL PURPOSEThe Seasonal Splash Island Guest Services Supervisoris responsible for the basic supervision, coordination, and performance of guest services operations at Splash Island Waterpark at the Richard A. Carlucci Recreation and Aquatic Center. This position provides direct oversight of admissions, concessions, and guest service functions, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests. The Supervisor serves as an extension of the Assistant General Manager, providing leadership to Guest Services Crew Leaders and seasonal staff by developing schedules, assigning responsibilities, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and service standards. This position ensures adherence to ServSafe food handling requirements, financial controls, and operational expectations while supporting the efficient and effective delivery of waterpark services. The Supervisor may also perform Crew Leader and Guest Services duties as needed to support operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties include, but are not limited to:Oversees daily operations of admissions, concessions, and guest services functions, ensuring consistent service delivery and operational efficiency.Supervises, trains, and develops crew leaders and staff and provides direction, guidance, and support ensuring crew leaders effectively supervise Guest Services Specialists and maintain performance expectations.Creates, maintains, and adjusts seasonal staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for admissions, concessions, and facility operations.Monitors guest interactions and supports staff in delivering professional, courteous, and responsive customer service across all guest service areas.Serves as a point of escalation for customer complaints, concerns, and service issues, resolving matters in a timely and professional manner.Ensures birthday parties, cabana rentals, and other guest services are properly scheduled, staffed, and supported.Oversees concession operations to ensure compliance with ServSafe standards and all applicable health department regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Assists with food and supply ordering and inventories.Monitors cash handling procedures to ensure adherence to established policies and State Board of Accounts standards, including accurate transactions, balancing, and deposit procedures.Oversees cleanliness and organization of admissions areas, concession spaces, and general guest areas, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment.Performs Crew Leader and Operational Duties as Needed Serves in the role of Guest Services Crew Leader or Guest Services Specialist as needed to support daily operations.Provides regular updates to the Assistant General Manager regarding operations, staffing, and any issues or concerns, while ensuring clear communication with Crew Leaders and staff.Supervisory Responsibilities: This job supervises seasonal employees of the Splash Island Guest Services division of the operations at the Richard A. Carlucci Recreation and Aquatic Center.
