Collects all necessary medicaland insurance information. Performs various tasks associated with OutpatientCase Management, verifying benefits, obtaining authorizations, processingpatients upon admission and discharge. Accountable for the tracking andpreparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly statistical data and periodicreports for the Outpatient Program when required. Interacts withfamilies of patients from infants, school age and/or adolescents up to andincluding age 20. Responsible for attending the Business Office Meetingson a monthly basis. Handle various clerical functions as assigned by theDepartment Director or his/her representative. Thorough knowledge offacility policies and procedures as it relates to the above duties isrequired. Position Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalentrequired Minimum of two (2) years experiencein obtaining Insurance Authorizations or working in a business officeenvironment Must be able to articulate andpossess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact professionally andcourteously with individuals in person and over the phone. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work,and Outlook. General computer literacy required.
