Desktop Support TechnicianContract-to-Hire Opportunity | SNI TechnologySNI Technology is currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting end users, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will play a key role in maintaining desktop infrastructure and ensuring employees have the technology support they need to stay productive.Position Details Pay: $28-$30/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed Overtime: Paid for hours worked over 40 per week Work Arrangement: Onsite 4 days per week, 1 day remote Employment Type: Long-term contract with potential for full-time conversion Weekly pay (every Friday for hours worked the previous week) Contractor benefits available during the contract phasePosition SummaryThe Desktop Support Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure including desktop computers, peripheral devices, printers, and communication systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with deployments and upgrades, and providing responsive technical support to internal users.Key Responsibilities Assist with repair, inventory tracking, management, and deployment of new systems Upgrade and maintain existing computer systems and hardware Perform daily administration and maintenance of desktop devices Provide end-user support via phone and deskside assistance Ensure usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software Participate in a rotating schedule supporting a 24/7 on-call production environment Perform computer deployments and execute hardware refresh initiatives Monitor and triage incoming helpdesk tickets and collaborate with IT staff to resolve issues Troubleshoot desktop computing, network equipment, and software issues Provide printer, copier, and scanner support Assist with maintenance of network, server, and telephone systems when needed Create and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures Manage and track IT assets and coordinate ordering of IT supplies and equipmentQualifications High School Diploma or GED 2-5 years of desktop support or end-user support experience Experience working with ticketing systems Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Working knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 Experience troubleshooting mobile devices (iPhone, Android, tablets) Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 7-10) Basic Network Support Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail Valid Driver's License
