Saw OperatorA growing and profitable manufacturer of aerospace parts in Simi Valley is looking to hire a Saw Operator. The company offers extensive benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401K plan, profit sharing, paid time off, and more)Location: Simi ValleySalary: 23 per hourThis is a full-time temp-to-hire positionSchedule: 2nd shift 3 pm - 12 am Monday through FridayResponsibilities:Performs receiving and issuing transactions in the MRP systemInteracts closely and constructively with Manufacturing, Production Control, Quality Control, Assembly, and Accounting to move parts through all operations and functionsResponsible for count and identification accuracy of on-hand and system inventoryReceives, counts, and stocks production itemsOperates cutting saw and properly documents actions on the Production RouterIntegrates cross-functionally to assure continuity of supply of required production materials and services in support of 95% customer On-Time-DeliveryFocuses heavily on inventory accuracyPerforms saw operation per documented processAdheres to all safety regulations, particularly those having to do with the saw and the forkliftsReceives all incoming items and enters receipt into the systemReceives and delivers MRO items (stationery, tools, shop supplies, etc.)Receives parts and issues or stocks parts per planning instructionVerifies count of incoming and outgoing partsMaintain an aggressive follow-up system to ensure schedule complianceAccurately counts parts upon receiving and issuingMaintains accurate and organized stockroomAttaches proper labels and documents to boxInterfaces with Production, Planning, Quality Assurance, Finance, & Purchasing to achieve the smooth flow of goods and services to PSI to maintain committed schedules to customersRequirements:Must be able to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divideMust have basic English verbal, reading, and writing skillsMust have good organizational skillsMust be able to lift a maximum of 25 lbs.Must have basic PC skillsMust be able to operate a forklift & scaleMust be able to read and interpret Planning and routingsShould have a good working knowledge of internal processesShould be able to read and understand blueprintsNeeds close attention to detailStrong focus on safetyUnderstanding of the need for accuracy and urgencyIdeal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder) per ITAR requirementsCompany rewards and benefits (upon hiring):Matching 401K contribution (50% match up to 8% of salary)Profit sharing contribution (3% of quarterly earnings, discretionary)Medical/dental/vision insuranceDisability insurance (short term, long term)Life insuranceAccidental death and dismemberment insuranceFlexible spending accounts (medical and dependent care)Matching gift programPaid 10 vacation days/yearPaid 12 company holidays/yearPaid 3 sick days/year.APPLY NOWCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $23.00 - $23.00 Per Hour
