Librarian I (Children And Teen Services)

Assists in coordinating, planning, and developing services for children and teens. Plans, prepares, and presents story time classes, as well as special events and activities. Provides research, collection development, and readers' advisory services for babies, toddlers, school-age children, teens, and parents. Conducts tours of the library; represents the library, at schools and in the community. QUALIFICATIONS :Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH : Public library children and teen services; storytelling; using applicable technologies, software, applications, and devices (must specify on application). Also desirable: Knowledge of children's literature (must specify on application); bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
