Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Mechanic to work in Brisbane, CA.Compensation:Hourly Pay $43.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience.$3000 sign-on and retention bonus.Overtime paid after 40 hours per week/8 hours per day.Typical work week is 40-45 hours per week.Weekly paychecks.Benefits - Eligibility starts on FIRST DAY OF WORK!401(k); 401(k) matchingHealth, Vision, Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee stock purchase planTuition reimbursementPTO (Personal and Vacation Days) Paid HolidaysCareer advancement opportunitiesWork Schedule:Monday- Friday.Typically work 12:00pm-8:30pm; work until work is completed. Typically 8-10 hours per day.Commute and work in mobile shop locations (no road side) within 150 miles.Schedule flexibility may be available based on candidate's needs.Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.Responsibilities:Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks and electronic vehicles.Properly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory.Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals.Travel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance. Communicate effectively with management, providing them with detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs.Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs.Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations).Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.RequirementsMinimum 3 years of previous technical experience with Class 8 Commercial Tractors and Trailers.Air Brake Systems Certification.Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot repairs using diagnostic systemsASE Certification is preferred. Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repairFamiliar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspectionsHigh School Diploma or GED (Preferred)Must be able to lift 70 pounds Candidate must provide his/her own tools.
