This is a great opportunity for an experienced Forklift Operator seeking a dependable first-shift schedule and a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Position SummaryThe Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks, move bulk materials throughout the facility, and support shipping and material handling operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining workflow efficiency and ensuring materials are properly prepared for transport.Essential Job FunctionsOperate a forklift to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility (approximately 90% of the role)Move bulk materials within the building in a safe and efficient mannerWrap skids and prepare materials for shipping (approximately 10% of the role)Ensure materials are properly staged and handled to support production and shipping needsFollow all safety procedures and company policies at all timesPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsSeated Forklift Operation:Sitting: >90% of the timeStanding/Walking: Standing Forklift Operation:Standing/Walking: >90% of the timeSitting: Peripheral vision and depth perception sufficient to safely operate a forkliftQualifications & SkillsAbility to read, understand, and follow written instructionsAbility to follow verbal instructions accuratelyAbility to complete basic paperwork and documentationBasic math skills, including use of a calculatorStrong attention to safety and detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWork EnvironmentTypical noise levels exceeding 70 dBExposure to chemical and machine hazardsExposure to outdoor weather conditionsNon-climate-controlled indoor environmentGMP facility requirements apply (jewelry and piercings must be removed)Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including:Tyvek overallsFoot protectionEye and face protectionHand protectionWhy This Opportunity?Consistent 1st shift scheduleCompetitive hourly payStable, full-time hoursHands-on role in an essential operationOpportunity to work with a safety-focused team
