1st Shift MIG Welder

Job # : 156096 Title : 1st Shift MIG Welder Location : Easley, SC Salary Range : $19.50 Position : Welder Description : Opsource has partnered with a growing company in Easley, SC that is looking for experienced Mig Welders to join their team on first shift! You will be working with a company who specializes in producing metal racks for automotive companies. This is a temp to hire position and when hired on you receive full benefits, health, vision, dental, quarterly bonuses and ample PTO! Shift: 6AM-4:30PM Monday through Friday with overtime as needed. Pay: $19.50/HR Primary Purpose Can perform a variety of welding functions. The individual should be familiar with and capable of using various types of welding equipment. A welder may be required to perform miscellaneous other tasks in the department and in other departments as deemed necessary by the supervisor or plant management. Responsible for maintaining quality. Responsible to the E2 process and reporting accurate quantities. Essential Duties Manually guide electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld and size of molten puddle. Assist other departments as required/directed. May act as a line leader, setting up lines, and checking weld quality of co-workers as required. Minimum Experience And Qualifications: Ability to perform simple shop math and convert decimals to fractional equivalents Read a calibrated tape measure Read and interpret blueprints Ability to read and interpret documents finished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals. Requirements: At least one year of MiG welding experience.Able to stand for 10-12 hours at a time.Experience in a hot and fast environment.Steel Toed shoes required.Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
