Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoParticipates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety CultureOperate and maintain mobile baler as well as additional processing equipment such as cranes, loaders to assist with on-site recycling operationsLoading truck may require: securing chains across the width of a trailer to secure the product, both on the bed of a trailer and in an overhead rack, tarping of loads on trailers, and dropping and hooking a trailerTransport Scrap materials safely and efficiently to designated processing facilities and client sitesMaintain electronic or paper logs of working hoursAbility to inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working orderPerform additional duties as neededWhat You'll NeedMust be at least 21 years of ageValid Class A Commercial Driver License requiredNo DUI or DWI (within the last 5 years)No violation for speeding excessively, 15 mph or more above the posted speed limit in previous 3 yearsNo on-road preventable accidents during the past (3) years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Road (MVR); accidents are reviewed by CMC LogisticsPass required D.O.T. and CMC Logistics drug testing programs and physicals as required by D.O.T.Driver must be knowledgeable in D.O.T. Regulations/RequirementsMust be able to work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday; which may include some overtimeFrequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains, drops and hooks trailers, performs inspections and reaches to work with equipment throughout the entire shiftMust be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weatherMust be able to lift up to 65 lbsWork well with team members or independently; give and receive feedback in a constructive mannerMust be willing to learn and tackle new challengesBuilds strong relationships by actively listening and responding to client needsExcels at managing tasks and responsibilities without constant supervisionYour EducationHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
