Job Description:The Sanitation employee is responsible for supporting cleaning and sanitizing functionof the precut operation. This position includes an active participation in the tasksnecessary to ensure that Keany Produce & Gourmet manufactures and distributes safeand consistent products of the highest quality and that all products are in compliancewith regulatory requirements, customer specs and company standards.Essential Duties: Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic and positive working environment Promote health and safety in workplace Understand GMP, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, and inspection regulations Reading chemical labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to learn how to properly handle chemicals Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing tools, equipment, and environment of the food processing area using various chemicals Responsible for cleanliness of the food plant using water pressure hose Assemble and disassemble sanitized machines and processing equipment, when necessary Able to complete checklists and documents for assigned work area on a daily basis 1 year of Sanitation experience referred HACCP or ServeSafe certification is preferable Must be able to work in a cold (37 degrees) and wet environment Able to lift up to 50lbs Must be able to work while standing and to crouch or kneel as required by the type of work being completed
