Salary: $16.41 - $25.44 HourlyLocation : 401 Laureate Way, Kannapolis NC 28081Job Type: Part Time - 2C (less than 1,000 hrs annually)Job Number: 00324Department: Parks and RecreationDivision: Parks and RecreationOpening Date: 03/09/2026Closing Date: 5/11/2026 11:59 PM EasternFLSA: Non-Exempt Example of Duties HIRING RANGE: $16.41 - $18.87 hourlyValid NC driver's license18 years oldHigh school diploma/GED Open until filledBuilding Attendant specifically include:Opening and closing of park and recreation facilities during rentals, meetings, and programsHandling all aspects of building rentals, including, but not limited to, room set-up and tear-down, audio-visual needs in some facilities, ensuring security of other areas of building, custodial duties as needed.Communicating with users to address needs and accommodating users within departmental guidelines.Enforcing policies and procedures during rental and meeting timesEnsuring smooth transitions between users and addressing specific needs to each userPerforming custodial duties as neededEnforces rules and regulations at parks and facilities.Performs routine cleaning and custodial duties.Performs related tasks as required. Typical Qualifications REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Working and detailed knowledge of the specific operation in one or more of the concentrated areas of this position is required. Some supervisory experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and training. Must have the ability to get along well with others; and the ability to work unusual hours, especially nights and weekends. Must pass a drug test and criminal background check.ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: High school graduate or GED; must be at least 18 years of age. Valid NC driver's license or ability to obtain prior to hire and a safe driving history is also required.
