Summary of the Role We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Permitting & Regulatory Compliance Specialist I to join our growing team in Kent, WA. In this role you will provide administrative and technical support to permitting teams, assisting with application preparation, tracking, and coordination activities. This role supports Specialists Level II and III while building foundational permitting and regulatory compliance processes. Responsibilities * Support permitting activities from application through approval under supervision. * Prepare and assemble permit applications, reports, and supporting documentation including, but not limited to, cover letters, filling out forms, coordinating signatures, obtaining checks for fees, and compiling plans/reports/specifications. * Track project deadlines, submissions, and agency communications. * Maintain accurate project records, databases, and correspondence logs. * Coordinate with internal teams to collect required documentation. * Assist with responses to agency comments and information requests. * Prepare standard reports (construction permit reports, compliance reports, etc.). * Conduct basic research on agency requirements and permitting processes, assist with inspection scheduling & compliance tracking, and provide general administrative and project support to the team. * Perform other duties as assigned. The following qualifications will help you succeed in this role: * High school diploma or equivalent required * 0-4 years of relevant experience (AEC, permitting, compliance, administrative support, or similar) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Exposure to permitting, construction, or regulatory environments * Experience with retail petroleum / UST / environmental compliance (a plus) * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Work Location This is a hybrid position (3 days a week in the office) based out of our Kent, WA office.
