The Welder is responsible for performing welding, fabrication, and final assembly of hollow metal frames and related components. This role supports production operations suggest by safely operating welding equipment, completing general shop tasks, and ensuring finished products meet quality and order specifications.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform welding and fabrication activities to assemble hollow metal frames and componentsSet up, operate, and maintain welding equipment (e.g., SMAW, GMAW)Layout, position, align, and secure parts prior to welding; cut or alter materials as neededInspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standardsFollow all safety, PPE, OSHA, and company policies and proceduresIdentify and report equipment malfunctions or material defectsPerform general shop duties such as organizing materials, staging outgoing products, assisting with loading/unloading, and maintaining workspace cleanlinessAssist with door alterations, installation of lite kits, on-site service work, local deliveries, and inventory activities as assignedParticipate in shop meetings and support production needs during peak periodsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent with prior welding experienceKnowledge of welding equipment, tools, and safe operating practicesAbility to read drawings, follow written and verbal instructions, and work independentlyAbility to operate a forkliftBasic math and measurement skillsMust speak English fluentlyStrong attention to detail and quality workmanshipAbility to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds unassistedOvertime may be required during peak workloadsValid driver's license and insurability may be requiredWorking ConditionsWork is primarily performed Indoor, climate-controlled shop environment. Frequent use of hand and power tools, welders and grinders. Regular standing, lifting, and material handling required. PTO and paid Holidays.Hourly: $20-$25 DOEHours: M-F, 7:30AM - 4:15PMEmployment for this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
