Engineering Technician

Job Title: Engineering Technician Job Description Support Operators/Technicians by providing guidance to achieve production goals. Responsible for creating and recording process parameters for all assigned processes, becoming the subject matter expert. Execute process engineering activities in support of new products and process introduction, including quotation reviews, tooling design, and estimated run rates. Responsibilities + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery and equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic). + Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. + Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime and equipment reliability. + Maintain and provide manufacturing information by compiling, sorting and analyzing performance records and data. + Maintain work flow by monitoring production process, equipment and personnel and establishing process variables to meet production goals. + Contribute to the creation, revision, and updating of documentation used for process control purposes, including processing parameters and documented work instructions for all assigned processes. + Recommend measures to improve production methods, efficiency, equipment performance, quality of the product, and employee safety. + Evaluate production tooling for improvements in efficiency, scrap reduction, mistake-proofing, etc. + Recommend process equipment and components for yearly CAPEX budget development. + Assist in training Operators/Technicians in machine setup procedures. + Assist in creating process troubleshooting guides for assigned process tooling. + Hands-on troubleshooting, problem-solving, and supporting engineers with a focus on technical skills and attention to detail. Essential Skills + Troubleshooting and hands-on troubleshooting skills. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. + Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or managers and employees of the organization. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate degree in a related field or five to ten years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Environment The role involves a hands-on approach with a focus on technical skills and attention to detail. Work hours are from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
