With a collaborative culture and deep sector expertise, FMI is recognized as a trusted advisor to businesses and investors shaping the future of the built environment.FMI is seeking a Content Strategist to partner closely with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and the revenue operations team to develop high quality, insight driven content that strengthens FMI's brand, advances sector growth priorities, and drives measurable commercial impact.This role extends beyond content creation and is focused on strategy, systems, and execution. The Content Strategist will elevate content quality, build scalable workflows, and ensure that thought leadership and commercial messaging support business growth across both Consulting and Investment Banking. This individual will lead a centralized effort to develop and scale content across the organization, serving as the primary driver of this initiative.This is a full-time position, based in our Denver Colorado or Raleigh, North Carolina office. Candidates must either reside in the Denver or Raleigh area or be willing to relocate to a reasonable commuting distance. The role follows FMI's hybrid work model, with an expectation of being on-site at least three days per week. Regional travel to Raleigh, Denver, Houston, and Tampa may be required.*All applicants for employment must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.ResponsibilitiesPartner with senior leaders across Consulting and Investment Banking to shape distinctive, market relevant points of viewDevelop and maintain an integrated content calendar aligned to firmwide and sector specific prioritiesDesign and optimize end to end content workflows including intake, subject matter expert collaboration, drafting and review cycles, approval and distribution, repurposing, and amplificationDevelop and refine thought leadership including articles, reports, sector briefs, case studies, transaction related content, and campaign assetsEstablish templates, editorial standards, and messaging guidelines to ensure consistency across business unitsCollaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex insights into clear, compelling contentSupport content repurposing across web, email, social, and go to market campaignsOrganize and tag content to improve usability, discoverability, and search visibilityEnsure consistent messaging across Consulting and Investment Banking while preserving the distinct value propositions of eachSupport sector expansion and growth initiatives with tailored content strategiesContribute to the development of structured proof assets including case studies, transaction summaries, and client impact storiesCollaborate with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Senior Bankers, and Client Managers to ensure content supports the full commercial funnelAnalyze content performance and recommend data driven improvementsTrack and report on content effectiveness in supporting pipeline and sector growthQualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field requiredGraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred7 to 10 years of experience in B2B content strategy, editorial, brand messaging, or related rolesExceptional written, editing, and verbal communication skills with high attention to detailStrong analytical judgment and ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to manage complex subject matter and senior stakeholder inputExperience building or improving content workflows and systemsFamiliarity with search engine optimization best practices and digital content optimizationExperience in professional services, consulting, financial services, investment banking, or other complex B2B industries preferredCompensation Information:Base salary range is $100k-$120k plus annual bonus.FMI provides a comprehensive benefit package consisting of paid employee medical insurance, life insurance and long term disability, as well as other benefit elections.
