We hope you consider joining us!The Summer Accounting Intern will support the Hotel & Restaurant Accounting (HRA) and Treasury teams with key finance and accounting projects across a multi-property hospitality portfolio. This role provides hands-on exposure to corporate property accounting, cash management, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes. The intern will gain real-world experience working within a shared-services accounting environment that supports multiple hotels and restaurants, complex ownership structures, and evolving treasury operations.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting student seeking practical experience in hospitality finance, corporate accounting, and treasury functions. Location: Sage Home OfficeDuration: Summer Internship (May–August, flexible based on academic calendar); opportunity to return at breaksKey Responsibilities HRA Accounting SupportAssist with preparation of monthly financial statement support schedulesParticipate in special projects related to fixed asset and financial reporting improvementsAssist with process documentation and identify opportunities for efficiencyTreasury & Cash Management SupportAssist with cash forecast preparation and variance trackingSupport treasury process improvement initiatives Learning & Development OpportunitiesDuring the internship, the candidate will gain exposure to:Multi-property financial statement preparationGAAP-based accounting in a hospitality environmentCash flow forecasting and treasury managementAudit support processesCross-functional collaboration with Operations Finance and property teamsReal-world Excel modeling and financial analysisIdeal Candidate ProfileCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fieldRising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior preferredStrong academic performanceDemonstrated leadership experience in academic, athletic, or professional settingsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailEffective written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office SuiteInterest in hospitality, corporate finance, or treasury operationsPreferred QualificationsCoursework in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, or StatisticsExperience in leadership roles, team management, or operationsInterest in financial markets, business operations, or entrepreneurship What Success Looks LikeBy the end of the internship, the intern will:Understand the structure of property-level financial reportingBe able to prepare basic reconciliations independentlyDemonstrate understanding of cash management processesContribute meaningfully to at least one treasury or accounting process improvement projectPresent a summary of their summer project(s) to HRA leadershipWork EnvironmentPrimarily indoor office environment within a collaborative corporate finance team.
