As a Sales Consultant SLED, you will be part of a world-class sales team dedicated to growing our business and helping customers find the best solutions for their needs. This high-velocity role offers the opportunity to engage with clients across the U.S., drive acquisition of new accounts, and develop meaningful relationships. Requires strong collaboration with LOB partners for new targets passed by Sales Ops. Expected to travel to meet clients face to face & effectively use remote methods (phone/internet) to maintain and grow sales relationships within owned geographies. Work Location: This is a remote position with a regional focus. This position supports customers in Ohio. While the role primarily supports working from home, the individual performing this role would live within or adjacent to this region.What you’ll be doing: Acquire net new business accounts within a defined U.S. territoryConsistently meets activity goals and daily metrics with a hunter mindset/approach - outbound dials, sell time, live contacts, and created opportunitiesRamp and onboard new accounts to expand our customer base.Partner with business development teams to refine sales strategies for complex segments.Travel to client sites and use remote methods to maintain and grow sales relationships.Develop expertise in contract and cooperative purchasing within your territory.Influence pricing decisions to ensure a seamless customer experience.Manage the sales funnel, from opportunity creation to closing deals.Utilize prescribed sales tools to prioritize activities and document customer engagements.Collaborate effectively with category specialists and support teams to drive deals to completion.What you bring to the table:Strong drive and determination to succeed in a competitive environment.Ability to view rejection as a learning opportunity and persevere.Proven business development experience and a track record of results.Consultative, solutions, and insight selling skills with advanced client management abilities.Highly skilled in developing and delivering impactful presentations, both virtually and in person.Strong business, financial, operations, and technology acumen.Ability to analyze market trends and create tailored solutions for prospects.Independence and self-motivation with minimal supervision required.Collaborative mindset to work effectively with product category sales teams.Ability and motivation to find, develop, and close sales.Demonstrated strong work ethic and self-discipline.Ability to be coached and incorporate feedback. What’s needed- Basic Qualifications Minimum 1+ years of successful sales experience or success as a Staples B2B Sales Associate.Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. What’s needed - Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.Industry knowledge in Education, State, or Local government sectors is a plus. The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity.
