Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A reputable school district in New Jersey is seeking three full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for maternity leave coverage starting in Fall 2026. These 12-week contracts begin in September, offering 35+ hours per week in onsite school settings. Ideal candidates will hold a valid New Jersey SLP license and NJ SLS certification. Those with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are strongly preferred, although candidates who are Clinical Fellows (CFs) with external supervision arrangements may be considered. Please note that Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are not eligible for these positions. Positions include:Two elementary school roles at schools with high Autism and Preschool populations, serving Kindergarten through 5th grade students. These are located in Sewaren, NJ (Matthew Jago #28) and Iselin, NJ (Kennedy Park #24).One additional school-based SLP role to be determined within the district. Key Responsibilities:Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in school-aged childrenDevelop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student successMaintain compliance with district policies and state regulations Qualifications:Valid New Jersey SLP license and SLS certificationCCC preferred but CFs with outside supervision acceptedExperience working with children on the autism spectrum and preschool populations is highly desirableStrong communication and teamwork skills This contract opportunity provides hands-on experience in a supportive school-based environment focused on pediatric speech-language therapy.
