Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive mental health and physical assessments and monitor patient conditions. Implement and maintain a therapeutic and safe patient environment using Milieu Management techniques. Administer and monitor psychiatric and medical medications as prescribed. Observe and document behavioral changes, patient progress, and treatment responses. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record system. Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams to develop patient care plans. Ensure patient safety, de-escalation, and crisis intervention when necessary. Provide education and emotional support to patients and families. Requirements (Must Have): Minimum 18 months of recent Behavioral Health / Psychiatric RN experience in an acute care hospital (non-psychiatric facility). Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in a short-term acute care hospital prior to travel assignments. Experience with Milieu Management, medication administration, patient assessments, and clinical documentation. Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License (required at time of submission). BLS Certification from AHA (American Heart Association) or American Red Cross. Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM). Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) degree from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). Prior experience working with behavioral health or geriatric psychiatric patient populations. Strong understanding of acute care hospital protocols and patient safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced behavioral health environment. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems.
