E4 Cardiology Telemetry, a 28-bed unit, functions as the central cardiac monitoring site for our inpatient floors. JOB SUMMARY As a Registered Nurse, you will demonstrate clinical competence through the nursing process and build strong relationships with your patients. You will assess and identify patient needs, establish a comprehensive plan of care, and implement and evaluate nursing interventions to ensure the best outcomes. Qualifications: Graduate of a nursing school; BSN preferred. At least one (1) year of RN experience required; completion of Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program may be considered. Preference given to candidates with two (2) or more years in this field. Current unrestricted Connecticut RN license in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. Ability to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire; passing a dysrhythmia test within three months is essential. Successful completion of the BKAT with a score of 80% or enrollment in a critical care course within one (1) year is required. Ability to obtain and maintain department-specific certifications.
