Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in Houston, TX, providing onsite speech-language services within a school setting. This role specifically supports a school-based speech program under the supervision of a licensed SLP and backfills a position through the remainder of the current school year. Location: Southwest Houston, TX (Piney Point Elementary School) Assignment Duration: ASAP through June 4, 2026 Work Type: Onsite only, full-time Discipline: Active Texas Licensed SLPA (no internships or clinical hour requirements) Key Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language support services to students as directed by a licensed speech-language pathologist. Collaborate with educational staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs). Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress and services. Communicate proactively with supervisors and team members to ensure effective service delivery. Comply with school district policies, including passing drug screening and completing fingerprint/background checks promptly. Qualifications & Experience: Active Texas SLPA licensure (fully licensed, no additional supervision hours required). Prior experience providing speech-language support services in an educational setting. Reliable transportation for commuting to Southwest Houston. Ability to pass drug screening and complete fingerprint/background check within the first three days of contract signing. Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate proactively. Access to a laptop for documentation purposes is preferred. Additional Information: Interview process conducted virtually (15-30 minutes). Must be ready for immediate onboarding and prepared to complete necessary onboarding steps quickly.
