Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This on-site contract opportunity is for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serving PreK through 5th-grade students across two elementary schools in the Baltimore area, MD. The role spans 37.5 hours per week during the school days, with a schedule split between Magnolia Elementary (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and Prospect Mill Elementary (Mondays and Wednesdays). The position starts mid-February 2026 and continues through late May 2026, with a possible extension into Extended School Year services in July. Key Responsibilities: Provide speech and language therapy support to students with communication needs Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and families to implement individualized plans Document student progress and assist with assessments as required Adhere to district policies and mandated reporting guidelines Qualifications and Experience: Active Maryland professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant Successful completion of district-mandated background checks, fingerprinting, and employment history review (per House Bill 486) Experience working in school settings with children in early elementary grades preferred Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and educational staff Location: Baltimore area, MD, working specifically at Magnolia Elementary and Prospect Mill Elementary schools Benefits: Opportunity to gain experience in diverse elementary school environments Supportive collaboration with district professionals and ongoing professional development Flexible interview scheduling to accommodate candidate availability If you hold an active Maryland SLPA license and have a passion for supporting young learners communication development, apply now to undertake this rewarding contract assignment.
