FORKLIFT DRIVER

Job Purpose: A forklift operator is responsible for loading and unloading all kinds of freight vehicles. However, forklift operators may work in a warehouse, factory, and supply yards or on loading docks Essential Job FunctionsLine hauling, loading, and unloading freight.Picking and packaging orders.Warehousing and shipping.Maintaining simple inventory.Verify items received.Check the conditions and quality of items received. Perform quality checks and safety measures.Ensure timely delivery of freight.Maintenance of all forklift related equipment.Willing to work on contract basis ranging from 3 to 6 months or on an annual contract.Willing to work in shifts and overtime.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility and skill to maneuver the forklift without a pallet.Ability to handle light and heavy lifting with ease.Basic documenting skills.Knowledge about related equipment and their maintenance.Knowledge of all safety measures to be taken during the forklift operation.Knowledge of warehouse inventory.Should have good organization skills and verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in using computer, Microsoft Office, Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel.
