At NYSTEC, we know that we succeed when individuals and teams flourish personally and professionally, so our benefits and perks support that mindset.As a quality assurance (QA) engineer in the Technology Procurement and Implementation Services practice, you will collaborate with business analysts, developers, business owners, and QA counterparts to validate functionality across complex workflows and system integrations.Design and conduct both manual and automated tests to ensure that developed software meets functional and performance requirementsDevelop and maintain technical and user-facing documentation, including user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies and metricsSupport readiness for go-live and ensure test traceability.Perform software engineering and quality assurance tasks within complex development environments, applying best practices from related technology fields.Ensure that software applications meet technical and functional requirements.Lead test planning, execution, and validation activities across the software development life cycle, including functional, regression, back-end, and end-to-end testingConduct data validation through Structured Query Language (SQL) queries and assist in verifying application and data integration across Oracle and related systemsApply Agile or Scrum delivery methodologies to plan, execute, and iterate on development and testing workEstablish and enforce validation criteria for deliverables, track key testing decisions, trace the completion of requirements through testing artifacts, and secure commitment and approvals from project participants.At least three- four years of experience with software testing, including developing and executing test cases for web-based applications. Hands-on experience with automation testing tools.Familiarity with functional, end-to-end, and back-end testingExposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies and basic SQL knowledge for testing relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).Experience testing, including functional, regression, integration, and UAT of applications, business processes, and data validationsExperience coordinating or managing end-to-end testing across multiple applications, data flows, and teams, including data migration testingExperience with managing/coordinating large testing projects spanning multiple applications, data, and teamsExperience with automated and manual tests needed to ensure the operation and precision of new product features and overall system behavior (e.g., regression testing)Experience leveraging tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, and Postman and experience with Git, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Visual Studies and mabl)Experience with test application programming interfaces (APIs) using Postman or a similar tool to validate functionalityA bachelor's degree in a computer-science-related field and five years of related experienceAn equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be consideredThe target base salary for this position is $84,497.00 to $109,846.00 per year.
