These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.Key ResponsibilitiesLead internal IATF 16949 system, process, and product audits.Facilitate and ensure effective implementation of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).Monitor key quality metrics, analyze data, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions in compliance with IATF 16949 requirements.Serve as a primary contact for customer quality concerns, managing resolution and communication of quality issues.Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality standards, tools, and best practices.Recommended QualificationsIn-depth knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 standard requirements.Proficiency in AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).Demonstrated experience with automotive problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).Experience conducting internal and/or supplier quality system audits (e.g., IATF 16949, VDA 6.3).Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control techniques, and metrology.Bonus QualificationsSix Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and implementation.Job Titles That Should ApplyQuality Engineer, Automotive Quality Engineer, IATF Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Manufacturing Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Systems Engineer, Product Quality EngineerWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
