Job SummaryThe Expeditor is responsible for daily reviewing the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) Commitment report and Past Due reports to identify material shortages, plans, releases, and schedule work orders required to complete ETA and past due orders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIESDaily review of the ETA Commitment report generated by the planning department to identify material shortages and prioritizes them accordingly.Release production Work Orders (WO) needed to complete ETA's and past due customer orders.Verify that ETA's are completed and shipped as scheduled.Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules. Communicate and collaborate with external departments to ensure orders are completed and shipped in a timely manner.Identifies problems in workflows and recommend necessary modifications in affected departments and teams to Supervisor. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and internal safety regulations and policies.Adhere to and promotes all company safety rules and requirements.OTHER DUTIESPerforms other duties as required.MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducations and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent is required1 year experience working in a manufacturing settingSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIESKnowledge of production processes and quality controlAbility to problem solve in the event of workflow bottlenecks or shortagesAbility to communicate with all levels within the organization Ability to work independently and as a team playerAbility to analyze information and evaluate results for best outcomeStrong time management skillsBasic knowledge of engineering drawingsComputer SkillsMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Working knowledge of an Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) toolLanguage SkillsEnglish (reading, writing, verbal), bilingual (English / Spanish) preferredMathematical SkillsBasic math skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply)Other SkillsAbility to work all shifts, including weekends and holiday hours.Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer or telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds. Have ability to complete frequent lifting, standing and walking up to 8 hours. May frequently use ladders, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment or enclosed office space; and can be exposed to a warehouse environment on a frequent basis.
